The Tunisian currency is the Dinar (DNT). It is not possible to buy dinars outside Tunisia. To exchange your own currency in Dinars, we advise to do it right after your arrival at the airport in the foreign exchange office. You can also exchange your currency in the front desk of a bank or at the reception desk of your hotel (note: you will have to check that the commission is reasonable). You can also use directly your credit card in an ATM (with a 2% commission). |

No, the standard of living is cheaper than in Europe. In addition, Euro equals almost twice the Tunisian Dinar and payroll taxes are lower (the minimum salary level required is of 240 DT). Therefore, the purchasing power of a European visitor is high. In a health tourism context, prices are highly competitive and advantages attractive. Procedures are less expensive than in Europe, though their medical quality is identical. Not only procedures are performed by doctors formed and trained in Europe and/or the USA but also clinics in Tunisia, especially the ones for aesthetic surgery tourism, respect rigorously the safety and hygienic European clinical standards. |
