Professional teeth whitening
What is it?
In-office bleaching allows in just one appointment to recover the whiteness of your teeth and the radiance of your smile. It represents the quickest and most effective way to whiten teeth.
Steps of the procedure:
The dentist applies a protective gel on the gum before applying a whitening agent (derived from oxygenated water) directly on your teeth. A U.V lamp with a blue light will accelerate this chemical process. And the whitening agent will penetrate the teeth enamel, reach the dentine and lighten the coloration pigments that were formed through time, by penetrating the teeth enamel and leading to spectacular results in just an hour.
Dental tests needed :
To evaluate your dental heath and estimate your quote, we will need pictures of your teeth (upper and lower jaw), with your mouth once closed and another opened (to see your teeth backside).
Benefits:
- The peroxide concentration used for professional whitening is higher than the one used in other whitening systems and allows getting a better result.
- This procedure is painless and does not require anesthesia.
- It does not involve any risk for teeth.
- The procedure is fast and does not take longer than half an hour to an hour!
- You can see the results immediately.
Points to consider:
- The dentist checks your denture and gives you advice on the procedures that are more convenient for you (available in the “diagnosis” part of your “private zone” once you have filled the consultation form).
- A temporary teeth hyper sensibility risk may occur during the week following the whitening session. To prevent it, the dentist will prescribe you fluorine tablets and an adequate tooth paste that will improve maintaining your results.
- During the week following the teeth whitening, some types of food have to be avoided: tobacco, coffee, tea, tomato sauces …etc. An informative leaflet will be given to you by your dentist in that aim.
- In case of very strong and deep teeth staining, you can be advised to opt for many professional whitening sessions or if you prefer effective results even faster, you can opt for prosthetic restorations (crowns or veneers).
- Professional whitening is only effective on living teeth. Another whitening system can be performed by your surgeon dentist to lighten non-living teeth. For fillings, crowns or veneers, that cannot become whiter with peroxide, in case of unevenness of whiteness, you can eventually redo some restorations.
Price of the teeth whitening:
370 euros.
