The facelifts are surgical procedures that lead to a sustainable rejuvenation of the skin without changing the face shape. Depending on the procedure selected, they smooth the skin of a local area of the face or both the face and neck, they tighten the underlying tissues and muscle and remove excess skin. Facelifts allow the patient to earn on average 10-12 years less than their age and to turn back the hands of time to better reflect their youthful spirit. In practice, the plastic surgeon will select the surgical technique to obtain the best outcome based on his discussions with his patient and the results this latter (you) wants to achieve.
Which type of facelifts and for what?
According to the needs of the patient and the outcome he wants to achieve, the plastic surgeon can work on a local part of the face, on different parts and even on the whole face.
For each aesthetic rejuvenation goal, there is an appropriate type of facelift :
• The standard face-lift (for the face and neck, excepting the eyes and forehead)
• The forehead lift or brow lift (to correct deep horizontal creases across the forehead, frown lines between the eyebrows and the top of the nose and to correct a low position of the eyebrows)
• The complete facelift (the whole face and neck)
• The temporal lifting (for wrinkles and sagging of the outer corner of the eye)
